Each week has a theme to help you understand the “Why” of how you eat, and to help you develop and implement your own new eating lifestyle.
The power of the program is in the way that you (and other participants) share your thoughts and feelings about what’s going on in your mind related to eating, what you’re learning about yourself from doing the program, and making a new healthy eating lifestyle happen for yourself. You can use your experiences and discoveries to change your mind about eating, and to empower yourself to create and implement your own lasting healthy eating lifestyle.
BENEATH THE WEIGHT ONLINE
It’s not the weight. It’s what’s beneath the weight.
Have you ever said that you overeat, or eat comfort food, because you are under pressure, nervous, mad, sad, bored, or just having a “bad day?”
That’s Emotional Eating (sometimes called, Stress Eating). Emotional Eating is the reason why so many weight-reducing efforts result in re-gaining weight that is lost.
Beneath the Weight is about the “Why” of weight gain, particularly the Why of using weight-gaining comfort food to change our moods and soothe our emotions. We believe that overeating begins in the mind . . . and the mind is where to end overeating.
